Yesterday I happy snapped some details from my bedroom. Below are a few :)
Above: The 'G' if from Freedom. The 3 wicker baskets are from Ikea. The blue floral print in the top left corner is Tassotti 'Foglie Azzure' paper from Styletto. My friend bought me the seriously cool blue frame. You can move the pictures around! Behind the 'G' is a tea light holder my parents brought back from a little town called Port Fairy on the Great Ocean Road. Quite an eclectic mix, really! I got the idea of the light bulb from a design company called SIXHANDS, featured in Inside Out last month. You can also see the frankie calendar below the light switch.

These are some lovely star lights hanging across my room that my good friend gave me recently. I LOVE them!

This is a wall facing the door in my room, so it's the first thing you see upon entry. I gradually add to it things I admire or have made, Eg. magazine cutouts, material offcuts, my own painting etc.

So there you go - little things that make me happy!

Summer's made its mark.

I thought my clothing could do with a summer edition, so I made a dress this week.

I bought a simple pattern from Lincraft and used a printed cotton and elastic. I think I'll keep hassling mum to get some more fabric for my next endeavour! Tell me what you think!

For the Love of Light

My apologies for not posting for such a long time. Been busy!

There's a new book "for the love of light: A tribute to the art of Polaroid." Looks amazing. It's kind of a farewell collection to the loss of Polaroids. A very sad thing. If I had the cash I would be shipping one over today!

Holidays vs. School - from a mac's perspective

How my desktop changed from my creative quote-icon-image-festive-facade to a three folder, organised, plain desktop!

And THAT, my friends, is how school takes over!

The Mechanics of Time

I love classic clocks.

This beautiful classic from Alfresco Emporium I would love to have propped on my desk.

I captured this in the Musee d'Orsay. Brilliant!

Also this screensaver from Paul & Joe! I've got it on at the moment on my Mac. Love it!

Up and coming-ART EXPRESS

I was looking at this year's Art Express Entries. I have discovered that too many people are depressed and negative! But there were many brilliant works...
Here are some of my favourites.

Aoife Wilson
I loved the use of colour and how text was displayed throughout her process diary. You can see more at the Art Express website.

Juliet Wilson:

Tea for Me

My sister has a lovely set of tea cups from Rosanna (www.rosannainc.com). They're so quaint and beautiful, which each cup and saucer with different colours and shape. They also make tea pots, plate sets, bowls, soda cups, candlesticks, knives, vases...the list continues.
Their range has heaps of patterns, styles and colours.
Here are some of my favourites:

The "Tea's Me" range. This is what my sister has.

"Cotsworld" - nice patterning, although quite intense!

"Victoriana" vases - this gives you an idea of the beautiful boxes all their items come in...

"Napolean Pearlised Red" cutlery. Their cutlery comes in heaps of different colours: aqua, blue, white, pink...etc.

2ni, here's one for you:
"How do you drink your tea?"
"Aw I hold it with two hands and slurp!"

My creation...(with Anna's help!)

Well yesterday I had a creative day with my friend Anna. She, being the creative and sewing-savvy individual that she is, helped me make a pencilcase with her!
I really like it and have attached some pictures. Let me know your thoughts :)

A DESPERATE CALL...

Hi everybody!

If there is anyone (who knows me) who has a working sewing machine they want to give away, I'M AVAILABLE!
I would LOVE a sewing machine, so if you have one going THROW IT MY WAY!

Thanks everybody :)

TEA.

YUM...I love my tea and the people who do it best in my opinion are T2.
They take the cake with pretty much everything...
web design
store layout + design
taste
smell
packaging
free samples in their stores

Really, what more could you want! I'm quite a fan of chai and relax, but a massive fan of their china jasmine...yummo!

Steer clear of Russian Caravan though....it smells like burnt wood. I'm not game enough to taste it. Smoky!

Here are some pictures from their website, showing their products, packaging and design.

MMM....
